Located about 20 minutes south of Houston, the most populated city in Texas, Iowa Colony’s population has exploded by about 1,000% over the last dozen years as the Houston metropolitan area continues to be a popular relocation destination. Developers are meeting the need by building subdivisions of homes throughout the community.
With an increased demand for housing, and the associated required infrastructure, many residential developments were experiencing delays due to product outages or transportation difficulties. For LGI Homes, Rinker was able to provide all the precast, RCP and RCB from a manufacturing plant about an hour up the highway. The project team knew they could rely on Rinker and know they were supporting the local Houston economy.
